Vorarlberg and Liechtenstein were the organisers of the European Youth Olympic Festival (EYOF) this year. Under the slogan 'Rock the Alps', young talents were able to compete in accordance with the Olympic spirit in eight different winter sports. Hytera was also participating on site. For EYOF 2015, our specialist retail partner ACTISIO made a successful trip to an altitude of 2,375 meters with an RD965 DMR repeater double pack. The devices supplied the organisers of the event with wireless communication around the clock in the icy heights of the Alps.

Numerous devices

In addition, numerous additional devices from our DMR Radio portfolio were used at the EYOF; among others, 77 PD705 handheld mobile radios, two PD785 handheld mobile radios, two MD785 mobile radios and one RD985 DMR repeater.

European Youth Olympic Festival

The European Youth Olympic Festival (EYOF) is a European multi-sport event which has been taking place since 1991 during uneven years between the Olympic Games. Like its model, the Olympic Games, it features Summer and Winter Olympics. With 1,500 female and male athletes between the ages of 14 and 18 from 45 nations, it is one of the largest events of its type in Europe.
